Homegrown Japanese favourite expands to fourth location in Dubai and opens first Bakery concept for dine in and takeaway
Dubai, UAE. September, 2017 – Homegrown casual dining Japanese restaurant brand Atisuto, created by Silver Spoon Investments, has launched its fourth outlet in Dubai at Ibn Battuta Mall.
With this branch, Atisuto, which combines authentic Japanese ingredients and culinary techniques with modern influences from Western kitchens, has introduced its first Bakery, featuring sweet and savoury pastries, salads and hearty meals traditionally eaten in Japanese homes.
Pastry items, created using Japanese flour sourced from Japan, include Croissant Cream, Choco Chip Scone and Honey Cube, plus desserts such as Atisuto Milk Cake and French Toast.
The signature sweet treat is Japanese Cheese Cake, available whole and in individual portions, created in response to demand from Atisuto’s loyal Japanese diners.
Savoury Atisuto Bakery dishes include the Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Make-Your-Own Quinoa Salad, Beef ‘Lasagna’, Hamburger Steak and Roasted Chicken.
Bubble tea is a highlight of the new menu, made using best-grade black tapioca pearl imported from Taiwan and available in flavours including Classic Milk Tea, Banana Chocolate, Green Envy and Passion Fruit.
Bakery beverages and dishes are available for dine-in and takeaway, with a separate counter at the front of the eatery enabling shoppers to quickly collect a tasty snack or lunch on-the-go.
Atisuto Brand Chef Aijiro Shinoda said: “After more than a year of research and development, we are very excited to launch the first Atisuto Japanese Bakery, led by Bakery Chef Shogo Ichibayashi. The Bakery offers the comfort food many Japanese families grow up with and we are delighted to bring this to Dubai, not only for the Japanese expatriates who have been asking for it, but for our Atisuto regulars from many nationalities, who we think will greatly enjoy the new additions to our menu”.
Meanwhile, Atisuto Restaurant offers all Atisuto’s Japanese street food favourites including the Atisuto Crab Sandwich, Black Cod Dynamite, Green Paradise, Salmon Carpaccio, Soft Shell Crab and Spicy Dynamite Shrimp, as well as its wide range of traditional Ramen, Noodles, Sushi and Maki.
The new Ibn Battuta branch of Atisuto will also offer delivery via atisuto.ae, extending Atisuto’s reach across Dubai to include locations such as Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Media City, The Greens, Barsha Heights, Jumeirah Park, Meadows, Springs, Emirates Hills, Discovery Gardens and Jebel Ali Gardens, as well as other nearby neighbourhoods.
As with all its branches, Atisuto partnered with Mojo Interior Design for the interior design of the restaurant, with Japanese art and culture at the forefront. Unique features include: Japanese poetry etched onto the floor; ancient Japanese wall paintings; a chandelier created with traditional Japanese fans; seats and benches made in the UAE with reclaimed wood; more than 40 Japanese Haikus written onto the wall of the Bakery kitchen; Shou sugi ban wood, which is charred with fire and finished with natural oil, used for café furniture and the Bakery counter; and Noh masks, a key feature of every Atisuto outlet, hand carved from blocks of Japanese cypress and shipped from Japan.
Atisuto Restaurant & Bakery at Ibn Battuta also features several live cooking stations, which will create the buzz associated with Japanese street food eateries. These include the Bakery counter, glass-walled Bakery kitchen, Sushi counter and Takoyaki live cooking station, as well as the glass-fronted main Atisuto Restaurant Kitchen.
A popular place to meet friends for a quick bite, or take time away from the complexity of the day, Atisuto is the perfect escape – any time of the day, any day of the week.
Affordably priced, Atisuto Restaurant & Bakery Ibn Battuta can seat 12 in the Bakery and 58 in the Restaurant, although diners are able to order from both menus no matter where they choose to sit.
The new outlet is the first Atisuto to open for breakfast, as well lunch and dinner, with operating hours from from 8am until 11pm on weekdays and 8am until 12 midnight on weekends.
