Chef Aijiro's 'Takoyaki Challenge'

Literally translated as ‘octopus fried’, Takoyaki are fried balls of batter filled with octopus, green onions, ginger and tempura pieces for a mild and gooey taste sensation.

As part of Atisuto’s new Wednesday Street Food Night, Chef Aijiro is challenging diners to take on the ‘Takoyaki Challenge’ and eat 48 of the crispy balls within 15 minutes, with successful challengers receiving theAED 111 platter for free.


Wednesday Street Food Night is inspired by the tantalising dishes served by street vendors across the country during Japan’s many festivals, with a specially crafted a la carte menu featuring traditional dishes, such as Chicken and Wagyu Gyoza, Chicken Yakitori, Ramen, Udon Noodles, Chicken Karaage, Harumaki and Yakisoba to name but a few. Diners can watch on as Atisuto’s skilled Japanese chefs prepare and cook the dishes at the counter.
